Introduction to Kickboxing |
Introduction Kick Boxing Movement Progression I will utilize the standard fighting combinations used by boxer's, kick boxer's and martial artists. This workshop will start with basic stabilization, dynamic base of support for punches and kicks and body alignment. Punch/kick combinations with correct posture and functional range of movement will be analyzed during all punches and kicks. This course will combine practical training, equipment utilization, demonstrations, practical evaluations and lecture to help the aerobic instructor, personal trainer and general fitness professional understand the functional movements, there potential for use in both group exercise and individualized training and their application for the kick boxing system. Punch techniques will begin with the punch combo of the 1-2 jab-cross and then progress to the 1-2-3-4 jab-cross-hook-uppercut. Kick techniques will begin with the front, side and round house kicks and progress to punch/kick combinations. |
