Punches
  1. ISCA kick box concepts: base of support, dynamic base of support for punches, boxer's shuffle, core muscles, functional kinetic chain, ring movements, alternating straight punches, jab, and basic upper cut.
  2. ISCA kick box advanced punches and punch combinations utilizing the functional kinetic chain to generate the proper motor pattern for the production of force. The advanced punches are as follows:
    • power punch or cross
    • lead-leg hook
    • lead-leg-advanced upper cut
    • rear-leg-advanced upper cut
  3. ISCA kick box punch combinations to maximize power and get the greatest benefit from the core muscles. Some combinations are as follows:
    • Jab/Cross (1-2)
    • Jab/Cross/Jab/Cross (1-2-1-2)
    • Jab/Cross/Hook (1-2-3)
    • Jab/Cross/Hook/Rear-leg-advanced Upper Cut (1-2-3-4)
    • Seven punch combination (1-2-1-2-3-4-3)
  4. ISCA kick box punches with Boxer's Shuffle and dynamic bases of support. Some punches are as follows:
    • Boxer's Shuffle with Jab or Double Jab or Jab Chin/Jab Body or Jab Chin/Lunge-Jab Body
    • Boxer's Side Step from either center, lead-leg, or rear-leg bases of support with punches
    • Step Forward/Step Backward with punches
    NOTE: Any of the above punches can be combined with ring movements (i.e., side-to-side crunches, forward/backward crunches, bobs, or bob and weaves) to either add variety to the combinations or to switch leads.
